Crybaby

I happened to see the very end of the Senate debate on the Patriot Act, with Frist’s announcement of the 6-month extension compromise. Then I happened to hear Sen. Ted Stevens get the floor again and complain about the actions of the Senate this year–making it seem like every Democrat was out to get him.

Then he got all tearful and here is how the Times sees it:

“”This has been the saddest day of my life,” said Mr. Stevens, 82, as he watched victory slip away again in his 25-year crusade for drilling in the refuge.”

You’d think that after 25 years of defeat, you’d finally give up on something that’s so utterly worthless.

And by the way, all his claims were just thrown off with out any substantiation. As far as I’ve seen this year, and especially the last three months, all the complaints about Sen. Stevens have been worthwhile. Such as this question: Are you representing the people of Alaska or the oil companies that want to drill in ANWR?

Go home and cry.

Come on … the man’s got his own bridge to depressively throw rocks off of :) Not to mention millions of subsidized high def TV conversion boxes to hook together and produce a supercomputer to do his evil will.
