Patriot Skull Face has a great run-down over at his place on how absurd and poorly-written Iowa’ sex offender law is. Go read it.
The law has got to be dealt with and rewritten by the state legislature for this law to seriously work. It is a serious issues and deserves to be treated that way–not with some shoddy bill thrown together.
And just because I’m against the bill as it stands now and think it should be scrapped for something better doesn’t make me a part of the ’sex offender lobby’, Mr. Yepsen. Here’s what PSF writes:
“I am for effective policy to deal with serious sex offenders and such sick criminals. This law might make someone feel better, but it doesn’t keep anyone safer. You want sex offenders to lurk under bridges, and in the Wal Mart parking lot? I thought not. Well, that’s where they live now. Let’s change this law, and quit fooling ourselves.”
Exactly.
